I’m a former software engineer turned ceramic artist. I was born in Singapore but immigrated to Vancouver, BC at the young age of three. Years later, I moved to Seattle after completing my university degree.
Growing up, I was discouraged to explore my creative side so I believed that I was not artistically inclined. Instead I invested into my studies, athletics, and career. However, in 2023 I took my first wheel-throwing class and felt drawn to the hands-on nature of the medium and the physicality of finished work - a concept that was foreign to me after years of software engineering.
Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to this craft and self-discovery. Currently I am a career resident at the Clay Corner and my work can be found at Niche, an art gallery in Ballard.
